Yeh, I decided to start a blog. Not to impress anyone or to jump on the bandwagon, just because I thought it might help me get a few things off my chest without having to talk to anybody. Kind of sad I'm talking to myself then really?
I'm not really sure to where to start with this. I could start by telling you a bit about myself.
I'm 17. I live with my Mum, Dad and little brother. I have a big brother and a big sister with 4 kids (5th on the way). I've been stuck in this shit hole of a town for 17 years and over the last year I've wanted to leave.
I study Music Technology in college. Sounds cliche but music is my life. I'm in a band called Smile Like Texas (www.myspace.com/smileliketexasuk) its the only thing I'm proud of in life right now, everything I have has been put into it. My money, my time, my college work. We have only been together 6 months but everythings starting to take off. Talks of sponserships and labels etc. Nothings confirmed though.
Like most people reading this (maybe not all) I spend most of my time on my computer. I try to get out as much as possible but its hard when your stuck in a shit town. I'm either networking on facebook or myspace. But the main amount of time goes into writing music with my best. I use logic pro 8, with 100s of plugins and samples. I have my big brother to thank for everything I have done to do with music. He got my into early punk rock like Bad Religion, Pennywise, NOFX, Millencolin and stuff like that. He use to buy me a punk o rama album for every christmas and birthday and I managed to get most of them. After that I developed my own musicical taste. Bottom line is Blink 182 changed my life. After hearing Whats My Age Again and All The Small Things, I decided to blag my mum to buy me Enema of the State. Went to tesco, cover the parental advisory warning with the price tag and cained it for about 3 years. Still have my phases of caining it now.
I think I be blabbing on a bit for one blog so I'll carry on with my life story another time. If you read this far. Thank you and I'm gratefull.
